Welcome to my crochet blog. I have recently started this blog in hopes of sharing my love of crochet with the world so I would like to start by saying hello to all my fellow crocheters! I started crocheting as a kid, was taught by my aunt. Crocheting is something I have done off and on most of my life. Here the last couple of years I have been getting more consistent and learning more every day. That is why I am here.

Throughout this blog you will find links to various products. If you were to purchase any of these products, I may earn a small commission. As an Amazon affiliate I earn from qualifying purchases.

I am a crocheter just like you!

When I picked up crocheting after about a decade or so of not crocheting I started completely over. We all start somewhere and I have been where you are. Probably the only difference between me and you is that I have an 86 year old aunt who is a crocheter and she helps me continue my journey of learning crochet.

I have found one of the best ways to learn and improve your skills is to crochet things you aren’t necessarily interested in. For me, this started with a crochet pumpkin last year. (See below) My aunt was making some, so I decided to give it a shot. Turns out I learned a thing or two!

That was the first time I ever did any back loop only crochet. Not a lot of back loop only crocheting when you are just making blankets.

From there I started making an ear warmer crown for my grand baby. Guess what? I learned another thing or two. Both of these projects were small in size and time, but the lessons learned were well worth the time spent.

I think a lot of us crocheters tend to find our comfort zone and stay there. For me it was continuous granny square blankets. So join me and step out of your comfort zone a little bit and see what you can learn! Everything I share on this site will be geared towards beginners. We are all a beginner in one way or another. You can be very experienced in crochet, but you are sure to find something you have never done before!

That being said, feel free to look around. I will be adding to this blog on a regular basis. I hope to have links, patterns, tutorials, a granny square of the month challenge and a “stitch of the week“. I want to expand my stitch knowledge and I figured what better way to do that than to have my readers join in!
