beginner’s crochet project journal tracker includes
Yarn Guides
This beginner crochet journal comes with 2 yarn guides from Lion Brand Yarns. One guide shows the different sizes of yarn and the other guide estimates how much yarn you will need for different projects. Both are very handy to have!
Crochet Stitch Checklist
I don’t even know if there is an actual number of crochet stitches that are out there. It seems endless to me. This journal also includes a couple of stitch checklists. These include a checklist for the 6 basic stitches as well as a few others. I also have a list of abbreviations as well as a checklist for some common blanket motifs.
Beginner crochet project ideas
Once you learn all these stitches you will be overwhelmed with “what do I make next?” So, I have also included a checklist of beginner friendly crochet projects. Work your way down this checklist and improve your skills as you go.
Inventory and Shopping Lists
Now you have all these projects on your list…. literally. You are going to need yarn! This journal comes with inventory and shopping lists for yarn, hooks, and patterns!
Crochet Project Trackers
Next up, the actual projects! This beginner’s crochet journal also has printable pages for you to keep up with your projects. Track the name, date, hook size, and yarn info all in one place.
Row Trackers
Once you venture into some bigger projects this journal also includes a printable row tracker that you can print and use over and over!

Blanket (and other) Sizes chart
And if you are going to make blankets, it might be useful to know what size your planned blanket should be. This size chart is 4 pages covering everything from coasters to king size, and in between, of course!
Temperature blanket planner
At some point in your beginner’s crochet journey a new year will dawn and you will be ready to make a temperature blanket because, why not? This Beginner’s Crochet Project Journal has you covered with your printable temperature blanket planner!
Beginner friendly Free Patterns
Now that you’ve covered the basics, I am also throwing in 2 FREE PATTERNS, written by yours truly. One is for a crown made with thread instead of yarn. This would be great for baby showers! The other is a simple waffle stitch wash cloth. Great to make for yourself or make a set as a housewarming gift.
Graph Paper
Since corner to corner, or c2c, is a motif on the blanket motif checklist, I have included some printable graph paper in the journal. The purpose of this graph paper is to encourage you to try out your own patterns since c2c is easily done as a “graphgan”.
Crochet Word Search
Last but certainly not least, a little fun. I created an exclusive crochet themed word search with 20 words to search and an answer key!
